| Statement of Faith
We believe there is one true God who has always been and always will be, existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that knowing Him truly is the foundation of all knowledge, wisdom and understanding. We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God. It is God
-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
so that the man of God may be equipped for every good work. The Bible is the final
authority of faith and life, without error in its original writing both in doctrine and
historical detail. We believe in a literal seven day (twenty-four hours per day) creation and intelligent design. We believe man was created in the image of God and God gave man dominion over the animals and the land. It is therefore our responsibility to be good stewards of what God has given us, which means being responsible with both animal and land, water and energy management. We believe God created man to have a personal relationship with Him, but man was also given freewill. The first man, Adam, used this freewill to commit the first sin; falling from God's grace. As a result of Adam's sin, all mankind is now sinful and eternally seperated from God. We believe all men are sinners, inherently from Adam and through man's own choices and all men therefore fall short of the glory of God and are subject to Gods wrath and condemnation. We believe it is God the Holy Spirit who pierces through a hardened heart and enables the sinner to recognize their sins, ask for forgiveness of their sins, repent from their sins and recognize their need for a Savior. We believe salvation is a gift received by faith alone, in Christ alone, and expressed in the individuals repentance, recognition of the death of Christ as full payment for sin, and acceptance of the risen Christ as Savior, Lord and God. We believe the Holy Spirit lives and works in each believer to produce the fruits of righteousness. We believe Satan is a living being and that hell is a place of eternal punishment for him, his hosts, and all unbelievers. Satan is the personal spiritual adversary of both God and man. We believe those who do not believe in Christ are subject to everlasting punishment, but believers enjoy eternal life with God. We believe the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of marriage. We believe it is the parents responsibility to train up a child in the Lord's ways and commandments. It is our responsibility as parents to impress these on their hearts, to talk about them when we are at home, when we are out, when we go to bed and when we get up. We believe the greatest commandments are these: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your misoul and with all your mind and with all your strength." and "Love your neighbor as yourself." |
